Split Screen

Today Caitlin and I were looking at videos and I showed her the Split Screen video I posted earlier on, we both agreed it is a really good concept and would like to try something like it.  This is another splitscreen video and instead of narrative it is performance based with some literal shots of the lyrics.

Since the last post, my media partener, Caitlin, and I have decided to use a different song by Gareth. This one is called 'Fuck You, Bitch'

It's about a girl who is cheating on her boyfriend, she tells him and but he already knows shes been lying to him and doesn't like her any more because she is a bitch.

"She says, my dear I'm so confused,
Cos lately i've been thinking a lot about you,

I say my dear, I'm no doctor but I can see,

I know when you're lying to me.

It is a very short and simple song with some excellent guitar.

I just thought this was really cool and would be a good idea for a music video. I really like the simplicity of this video and how alike the clips are, yet are filmed in Paris and New York; (I think..possibly somewhere in America) two very different cultures. Then there are little blips in it, such as the bike, a racing bike in one frame and in the next a classic old one.

Feels Like Summer by garethwalsh

Gareth Walsh is an acoustic musician from Ireland, and it is his song 'Feels Like Summer', I have chosen to use for my media. I copied the lyrics as I listened to them and I think this is what they are pretty much.
